Possible revival in Health Organisations PDF Print E-mail

With reference to the meeting of African delegates during the 29th International Commission of Occupational Health Congress (ICOH2009) in Cape Town, the University of Limpopo and the South African Society on Occupational Medicine (SASOM) is enquiring about the interest in reviving an African network system.

The aim is to renew communication between those working in the occupational health field on the African continent and adjacent countries, with South Africa as the initial facilitator.

The Pan African Congress on Occupational Health (PACOH) and the African Association of Regional Occupational Health (AAROH) are existing organisations and we understand that a PACOH Board exists. More information and contacts of these organisations will be appreciated.

We would like to coordinate the circulation of all available information, including previous policies, in an effort to plan further action involving all interested parties. If required we may draw up a preliminary constitution for a combined group.

The benefit will be the creation of one communication network for all.
